Scott Barnes announces Partnership with Loren Ridinger

Motives by Loren Ridinger, a world leader in customized cosmetics, announced today it has partnered with celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes to create the Present, a limited edition collection cosmetics designed by Barnes and sold exclusively on motivescosmetics.com. Ridinger and Barnes will unveil the products to 25,000 attendees at Market America's annual World Conference event in Miami on Thursday January 28 at 3:45 PM. The Present is essential makeup kit that gives consumers all the products they need for any day or night look. The Present is designed to work well with all skin tones and contains four lip-glosses, four eye shadows, two blushes, transulent powder and four concealers.

The New Wave in Fashion Branding

The new wave in fashion branding- Over the past few years there has been a dramatic shift among the hierarchy in the exclusive fraternity of high fashion brands. Historically, fashion labels managed the public image of their brands through the utilization of traditional public relations in tandem with stunning visuals in advertising campaigns and all of these methods were governed internally, with no exposure or input, from the prying eyes of outside counsel. The reasoning could be largely attributed to general media advertising agencies direct conflict in methodology, to that of the need of these fashion labels to preserve their exclusivity. The “dog whistle” approach, was and still is, paramount; in only reaching your intended target and not the masses that would eventually erode the potency of the brand over the long term.

REAL TALK: A Must Attend...

Art makes my world go round and round. Fashion is a form of art and because im not the greatest at using a brush and paint, i found that i too can be considered an artist by the way i 'splash' my clothes on to my body. I always found it more challenging to be a fashion artist because unlike a flat canvas, the body has a unique shape to it. Everyones 'canvas' is different, and its only a matter of learning what works best for you. I've never been thin and like most i struggle to keep myself at a median weight (median for me is a little heavier than most). I have no desire to be waifey or skeletal, i just want to be happy and healthy.

In spirits of the New Year, I sat down to plot my action plan in figuring out what I’m going to do with my life for the next 12 months. Asides from the regular do well in school, lose 15 pounds, get at least 6 hours of sleep at night, this year is a special year for me. I’m taking the next full 12 months to prepare myself mentally, physically, financially and spiritually for MY year, which has not yet been decided, but I know is near, wait for it!

Today was unexpected, these are the kind of days I live for. Natalia Diaz came into town today. I was excited to see her, we had much to discuss and to catch up on. I met her up at a Cafe named Le Petite on Spring and west Broadway (in front of the Custo Barcelona store). She had been waiting for me with Andrew Weissman of Market America. We had our coffee and started discussing an agenda of upcoming projects. I can only say that great opportunities are presenting themselves to me and i look forward to the future (as i always have). My investment is finally beginning to pay off and i know this is only the beginning.
